Finally a Real Snow Day!

All day yesterday it was a rain storm, a very yucky day. I was on the phone with my friend Dana and we were talking about how it probably wont snow enough to play the next day. It never does. I swear and hour later I looked outside and this is what I saw. Do you see how hard it coming down? I couldn't believe it.
Look how big those snow flakes are, it's incredible.

This was our house about 2 hours into the snow storm.
Already 2" and it was still coming down.

6:30 AM Bogey had to get out and play. We watched the snow until about 1:30 in the morning. Mackenzie kept waking up wanting to go build a snowman.
Does this picture remind anyone of "A Christmas Story"? (Ralphy's little brother) ha ha

I am not sure Campbell knew what to think about the snow, but Mackenzie couldn't wait to get out in it. She came downstairs at 6:45 AM ready to build her snowman with a carrot nose of course.

This is one of Campbell's bou's Austin. They were out early playing too.

After bundling everybody up and taking a few pictures, we went out back to build our snowman. Two minutes later Mackenzie said "I'm ready to go inside mom, it's to cold out here"!! I am trying to talk her into going back out to play with her friends and she just told me "NO WAY, did you feel how cold it is mom"? (Sometimes I wonder how old she really is). Long story short we have yet to build the snowman.

When we came in of course we had to make Chocolate Chip pancakes and Hot Cocoa!

Yummy!!

Another Great Princess Party

Gabby's Birthday Party. (a friend from school)

When Mackenzie first arrived she had to go to several different hidden locations to complete her Princess attire. The hunt began with a necklace, then they added gloves, rings, bracelets, fans, crowns, glitter makeup, and finally to the color land while they waited for everyone else to arrive to the palace.

Cinderella had to find her glass slipper, so she tried on many different princess shoes until the perfect match was made. Her first shoe was sitting at the princess table that was decked out with jeweled wine glasses, frames with her picture as a place marker, even named place mats, and of course the one glass slipper.

They kissed the frog to see if he turned into a prince.

They had to look for all of their fairy wands, hidden in the woods (Family Room).

They sifted for jewels in the sand and then used their special gems for decorating frames.

Of course there was a Princess Castle Cake!
All of the Princess sat quietly while Queen Jennifer read the story of the Princess and the Pea. After the story each girl got to go sit on pillows to find the pea. They all got a kick out of that one.

Licence to Rule.... Yikes, I am in trouble now!!! Mackenzie was handed a certificate after completing all the games. This was a great party!! We both had so much fun. I had to come home and take a long nap! Happy Birthday Gabby!
