Birthday (last one)

The concept of presents is still new to Campbell, but Mackenzie was sure to
help explain how it works.
We couldn't get her to dive into the cupcakes, but she has found a new favorite candy... Gumdrops! Later this week we were decorating Gingerbread men and she dove over the table for the bowl of gumdrops.

All the kids loved the music and was so happy to help teach Campbell how to "shake shake shake her silly's out"!

Birthday (part 2)

I don't think any of the kids had fun, it sure doesn't look like it!

We also had a music teacher come and sing some songs and play some music games with the kids. Everyone was so jumping and singing to the music. Campbell was mesmerized by the music. She clapped her hands, beat the drums and had a great time being with all of her friends.

I thought this was so cute, Campbell and Mackenzie drawing together.

Finally Campbell meets Reilly, soon they can have a play date the really involves playing.

I'm One, I'm One (part 1)

Yes, my second little girl is already 1!! I really can't believe it, this time last year we were in and out of the hospital trying to get her to gain weight. Well, I guess we did a good job at that one, have you seen the rolls on her legs?
We had such a great time at her party, There was edible play dough, and finger paint for the little ones, and as you can see above Campbell was not interested in painting more eating.

There really wasn't a theme but we had the Blue and Purple colors going on.

"Happy 1st Wish", these were the banners I made for her birthday. I hope she can use them in years to come.

Happy Thanksgiving

I am not sure if the Turkey made her sleepy, or the excitment of playing with her cousins.

Gotcha! Caught with the cookie BEFORE dinner. Little sneak.
Happy Holidays to everyone, we love you and miss seeing you more often. It was great getting to see my family even if it was for a short time.

I love that they love each other so much!! It's so sweet.

Princess Tea Party

Service Please! Mackenzie was invited to her friend Mary "Mac's" Birthday Tea Party.
This was right up her alley, Prince Andrew sereved all the girls some tea, and deviled eggs. I think Mackenzie has a crush on Andrew.

They had fun coloring and making their own special princess crowns.

Campbell had fun too, she really just wanted the cake!!

The girls looked so cute all dressed in their favorite costumes. Thank you Mary Mclean for a great party!

Grandpa's Visit

The weekend before Thanksgiving we celebrated the holidays with Grandpa and Grandma Duke and Aunt Amanda. They came from Newnan, GA to play with the girls.
They decorated a Rice Krispy house, Yummy!

And we got to open LOTS of presents. I think Santa snuck in a few here there were so many.

But the most favorite of all was Mackenzie's own special Christmas Tree for her room.
It's white with pink and purple bubles and a beautiful pokadot bow on top. Everynight we have to let her fall asleep with her tree lights sparkling in her eyes.
And on that note, She now gave up her pull ups and sleeps in panties!!! Hooray.

Campbell's new skills

This is her famous "I am so cute, now hold me" pose
Campbell is not walking or really talking that much right now, but she does have a few new skills that she likes to show off. When you tell here "hello" she puts her hands to her ear, like she's answering a telelphone. Now that must tell us that we are on the phone way to much!!

Here she has learned how to point at things, another favorite way of getting what she wants.

She is learning to use a spoon, well truly she doesn't like anyone to feed her she likes to do it herself. Nothing stays on the spoon of course but at least she thinks she is feeding herself. (It's been four days since she has eaten anything.)

This smart move was taught to her by her teacher at the "Baur School of Learning" (Our friend Marianne watches her) this is "Peek A Boo". I don't think she gets that you are supposed to cover your eyes not your head. Silly Campbell... as Mackenzie would say.

Just another shot of her pointing, this weekend she started pointing at herself and giggling. Not sure what that means yet.
