Easter 09'

Easter with our Charlotte family.

This year we were unable to make it to see my family in GA for Easter. So we decided to have all of our friends that were not going out of town either over for a good old fashion pot luck gathering. We had a blast, eating, drinking, hunting for eggs, and playing games. The party lasted all day and we had so much fun. Some of the pictures were taken at our community hunt the weekend before. We are very lucky to live in such a wonderful neighborhood, and have our kids grow up with these great friends. Happy Easter everyone.

On the tail end of these pictures you will see a few shots of Scott and our friend Jason running in a 10k race. Great job guys!

Happy 4th Birthday, Mackenzie

Okay I am totally updating this Blog out of order, but at least I am updating it!

Mackenzie turned the big 4 (going on 14) Friday, April 24th 2009.

The morning started off with a visit from the Birthday Fairy! The Birthday Fairy brings all the gifts from everyone that is far away and leaves them for the Birthday Girl to open when she first wakes up on her Birthday morning. Thank you Nana, Grandpa & ma, Amanda, Ca Ca & Jason for all the great goodies.

We had a fun play date at our house, we painted pots, played on the swing set, and ate cake!!

And then Saturday our friends the March Family came to help us celebrate at

Sunday's Birthday Dance Party.

We colored guitars, and played them to the music.

Daddy showed us some of his famous dance moves.. this is the sprinkler.
We had "Dirt" Cake!

Nothings better than a good "CHICKEN DANCE"!
Here is Roman always in the middle of the ladies showing off his dance moves.
Campbell was even getting down to the beat. I think this is the moves to
"Apple Bottom Jeans"

Strawberry Picking

Strawberry Picking with the MOMS club.
I think we have a camera lover here.

Mary Mac and Mackenzie were hand in hand the entire day!

They went on a really long hayride after picking strawberries, then.......

Ice Cream you scream, we all scream for Fresh Strawberry ice cream after a long hot day of picking.

Is Mary Mac eyeing Mackenzie's ice cream??

Campbell and Emma loved the ice cream too, but Emma will now be nick named "little Strawberry Shortcake". Warning: Never take a strawberry away from Emma! he he.

This was the first time we have ever been picking for strawberries and I have to say, even though it was hot I thought it was awesome! Now we have some REALLY yummy, BIG strawberries to make some strawberry pie, cookies, popcycles, dip and so much more!

5K, Manicures, and Pedicures - Mother's day Weekend

This is a picture of my adorable family taken by my sister-in-law (www.kkgphotos.com)

Talk to the hand daddy, this picture is for me.

Well it's Mother's Day weekend 2009 and I had a BLAST!!

1st off my friend Marianne and I ran a 5K, yes I said I ran a 5K. I know it's hard to believe but I did it in 31:30 minitues. This is a huge accomplishment for me and I am so very proud that I did it. I was actually nervous all morning before the race, but now I think I may want to do a Triatholn. Crazy!! We celebrated with a bath, nap, and then of course a BBQ and Beers. he he.

On Sunday, Scott took us for lunch at the US National White Water Center, then Mackenzie and I went for a girls pampering of manni's and pedi's! Campbell was so tired after the weekend she was falling a sleep eatting dinner.

Thanks for a great weekend!!

Soccer Skills

Mackenzie finished her first soccer skills course. One of the great moms in our neighborhood offered her soccer skills to the kids for 8-weeks. It was so great watching them learn something new and have fun with new friends. After every class Mackenzie would come home to show me what she learned that day.

While Mackenzie was playing Campbell would be off running around the field or trying to steel everyone's snacks and juice.

Mackenzie is showing off her "around the world" skill here.

Then finished off with a mock game. She scored!!

Do you see a sneaky smile? I do!

Mackenzie's Ballet Recital

I know I am so behind in updating my blog, and as soon as things slow down a bit, I will catch up...PROMISE. But I just had to share this special video of Mackenzie's first Ballet Recital

She was so precious, I cried!! My little "Star". Beside her is Isabel Stokes, one of dear street friends. Enjoy the show, it's really adorable!

Congratulation girls!

Mackenzie is such a little "poser"!

Daddy and sister brought her flowers on stage. I think Mackenzie was so very proud of herself for doing such a great job. She talked about it all night. I really think she was more excited about getting to wear mommy's make-up. Mackenzie, you stopped my heart tonight, loves and hugs baby girl. I love you!

Finally a Real Snow Day!

All day yesterday it was a rain storm, a very yucky day. I was on the phone with my friend Dana and we were talking about how it probably wont snow enough to play the next day. It never does. I swear and hour later I looked outside and this is what I saw. Do you see how hard it coming down? I couldn't believe it.
Look how big those snow flakes are, it's incredible.

This was our house about 2 hours into the snow storm.
Already 2" and it was still coming down.

6:30 AM Bogey had to get out and play. We watched the snow until about 1:30 in the morning. Mackenzie kept waking up wanting to go build a snowman.
Does this picture remind anyone of "A Christmas Story"? (Ralphy's little brother) ha ha

I am not sure Campbell knew what to think about the snow, but Mackenzie couldn't wait to get out in it. She came downstairs at 6:45 AM ready to build her snowman with a carrot nose of course.

This is one of Campbell's bou's Austin. They were out early playing too.

After bundling everybody up and taking a few pictures, we went out back to build our snowman. Two minutes later Mackenzie said "I'm ready to go inside mom, it's to cold out here"!! I am trying to talk her into going back out to play with her friends and she just told me "NO WAY, did you feel how cold it is mom"? (Sometimes I wonder how old she really is). Long story short we have yet to build the snowman.

When we came in of course we had to make Chocolate Chip pancakes and Hot Cocoa!

Yummy!!
